Peasantman
Peasantman is a multi-event triathlon held at Indian Pines Park in Penn Yan, New York. The event is officially sanctioned by USA Triathlon and is organized by First Knight Racing. It is scheduled on the third Sunday of every August and is listed for Sunday August 16, 2026.
The event program includes a range of race formats: Full Steel Triathlon, Full Steel Relay, Full Steel Aquabike, Full Steel Duathlon, Half Steel Triathlon, Half Steel Relay, Half Steel Aquabike, Half Steel Duathlon, Intermediate Triathlon, Intermediate Relay, Intermediate Duathlon, and Sprint Triathlon. The organizer notes that the event’s Steel Distances are slightly longer than traditional triathlon distances because the bike course is longer.
Peasantman has a history of community support. Since 2013 the event has contributed over $44,000 to several organizations in the Penn Yan area, and many of those organizations are present on race day. Relay teams are supported; the team captain registers first, creates the team name and pays the full entry, and other team members join the existing team during their registration.
