Mandatory gear is enforced. Race-provided items include a color-coded swim cap, number bib, timing chip, and a Restube for solo racers. Athlete-provided mandatory items include shoes, a wetsuit, a whistle, a compression bandage, and a tether. Water stops provide both water and electrolyte-infused drinks; littering on course can lead to disqualification. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
