About the race
Oilman Texas Triathlon is held at Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe in Montgomery, Texas, over a weekend in November. The centerpiece Half Iron event offers a 1.2-mile swim in Lake Conroe, a 56-mile ride through Montgomery County, and a 13.1-mile run, all starting and finishing at the resort, with courses that mix roads and golf cart paths. A new Sprint distance adds options: 500-meter swim, 11-mile bike, and a 5K run through Margaritaville neighborhoods and golf course.
The weekend also features a Youth Triathlon, a Saturday Family 5K, and a themed pool party called the '5 O'Clock Somewhere' Fun Tri. Attendees enjoy a hometown, resort atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
