Multi-Sport Adventure in Oconto Falls

The Oconto Falls Dri-Tri is a multi-sport community event held at the West Side Beach in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. The course utilizes the local natural environment, starting with a water segment on the Oconto River. Participants begin by paddling upstream for approximately half a mile around a buoy before returning to the shore. The transition area and registration are located at the West Side Beach on North Flatley Road.

Following the paddle segment, the course transitions to a bike route through rural country roads characterized by rolling terrain and hills. The final leg of the event is a 5K run or walk. This segment takes participants across a mixture of trails and paved roads, eventually leading back to the finish line at the beach site.

The event features specialized waves to accommodate different types of equipment and goals:

  • Competitive Wave: A standard race format for individual participants.
  • Power Boost Wave: Designed for those utilizing e-bikes or stand-up paddleboards (SUPs).
  • Explorer Wave: A non-competitive option focused on completing the course.

All participants receive a participation medal upon completion. Additional awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in various age categories within the competitive wave. Limited equipment rentals for kayaks and bikes are available through local partnerships for those who do not provide their own gear. Post-race amenities include a meal with meat and vegan-friendly options. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
