Event
The 43rd Annual Mt. Taylor Winter Quadrathlon takes place on February 14, 2026 in Grants, New Mexico (500 W. High St., Grants, NM 87020). The event includes Soloist, Pair Team, and 3-4 Person Teams, plus multiple kids quad categories (11/12, 9/10, 7/8, 5/6, 3/4). Registration fees listed range from $90 to $150.
Course and tracking
The course combines cycling, running, skiing, and snowshoeing with the following legs:
- 13 miles - bike ride, 1,800 ft climb
- 5 miles - run on gravel then packed snow, 1,200 ft climb
- 2 miles - ski section including Heartbreak Hill, 1,200 ft climb
- 1 mile - snowshoe to summit, 600 ft climb; summit at 11,301 ft
Total course distance is approximately 43 miles, with about 4,900 ft of elevation gain. Live GPS-phone tracking is available through the RaceJoy app, and there are checkpoints at each aid station for progress updates. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
