Event details
The Mora Winter Triathlon and Duathlon (Run/Ski Only) takes place on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the Vasaloppet nordic ski area in Mora, MN (410 Nordic Center Drive, Mora, MN 55051). The event is hosted by Mora Ski Club and Vasaloppet, USA, and is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Bib pickup and transition open on race day. Same-day registration is allowed but must be completed online; there are no paper registrations.
Race format and courses
The winter triathlon and duathlon use groomed nordic ski trails with start and finish at the Nordic Center. Course details for 2026 will be updated as conditions allow.
- Triathlon: run 5 km, fat bike 15 km, ski 10 km
- Duathlon: run 5 km then ski 15 km
Skiing may be either skate or classic style. Teams consist of 2 or 3 participants; for two-person teams, the athlete who does the first leg also does the third leg. Teams must exchange the chip in the team transition area and attach it securely before leaving transition. Fat bikes must have a minimum tire size of 3.7" to reduce trail damage.
