Event overview
The Mora Winter Triathlon and Duathlon is scheduled for Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the Vasaloppet nordic ski area, with start and finish at the Nordic Center, 410 Nordic Center Drive, Mora, MN 55051. The event is hosted by Mora Ski Club and Vasaloppet, USA. Races take place on the nordic ski area trails; specific 2026 course routes will be determined and updated as conditions allow.
Race formats and logistics
The winter triathlon format comprises running, fat biking, and skiing. Skiing may be either skate or classic technique. The duathlon replaces the bike leg with a longer ski leg and uses the same run course. Teams are allowed in separate relay events; team size is two or three participants. If a team has two members, the person doing the first leg will also do the third leg. Teams must exchange and securely affix a timing chip in the team transition area before leaving transition. Minimum tire size for the fat bike is 3.7 inches.
Bib pickup and transition area access begin on race day in the morning. Same-day registration is permitted only through RunSignup; no paper registrations will be accepted and an on-site computer will be available.
