Mohawk Towpath Byway Duathlon
The Mohawk Towpath Byway Duathlon is a multi-sport event held in Rexford, New York. Participants navigate a course that follows the scenic Mohawk Towpath Byway, which is recognized as one of America’s Byways. The event starts and finishes at Riverview Orchards on Riverview Road, which also serves as the location for the bike transition area and the awards ceremony.
The competition consists of a three-stage format totaling 16 miles:
- 2 mile run
- 12 mile bike
- 2 mile run
Participants can choose between two registration categories. The Duathlon Individual category is for solo competitors, while the Duathlon Relay Team category allows for two-person teams. Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners in the individual category, along with the top three finishers in ten-year age groups. Relay teams are recognized with awards for the top three male, female, and mixed teams.
This event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Registration fees do not include required one-day memberships if applicable. The first 150 registrants receive a commemorative item.
