Event overview

The J-Hawk Earlybird Race Series is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026, in Whitewater, WI. The event is based at UW-Whitewater Williams Center Pool and offers individual and relay options. Relay teams may be co-ed or single-sex and consist of two or three members; the first relay member registers and pays, and additional team members register as relay members with no fee. The Olympic-distance entries are limited to 54 competitors combined between the triathlon and aquabike. The organizer is a 501(c)(3) youth organization that supports swim lessons and a youth swim team.

Race formats and distances

Distances offered include:

  • Super Sprint Tri: 250 yd swim, 6.5 mile bike, 2 mile run
  • Sprint Tri: 500 yd swim, 13 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
  • Sprint Aquabike: 500 yd swim, 13 mile bike
  • Duathlon: 2 mile run, 13 mile bike, 2 mile run
  • Olympic Tri: 1000 yd swim, 26.5 mile bike, 6 mile run
  • Olympic Aquabike: 1000 yd swim, 26.5 mile bike

Division awards cover overall winners and age-group top-three places, with specific PARA divisions and separate handling for overall winners and age group awards.

Registration and logistics

There will be no on-site registration. Registration closes on April 25 at 6:00 pm and waves and start assignments are posted the following day. Price increases occur after April 3 / on April 4. General information meetings are offered via Zoom on the Wednesday of race week for registered participants. Live results and finish-line photos will be provided. No awards will be mailed.
