Frantic Frog Fall Sprint Triathlon and 5k : Scottsboro, Alabama
The Frantic Frog Fall Sprint Triathlon and 5k is scheduled for September 19, 2026, at Goose Pond Colony Resort in Scottsboro, Alabama. The event combines multiple triathlon divisions and a separate 5k Run/Walk that uses the same route as the triathlon run.
The triathlon format includes a swim, bike, and run. Distances for the race segments are:
- 500 meter swim, rectangular course, pier start, beach exit.
- 14 mile bike, out and back course.
- 5 kilometer run, out and back into the campground.
The 5k Run/Walk follows the same run route as the triathlon. Race packets include a race t-shirt and a swim cap that must be worn in the swim portion. Packet pickup is held at the grassy area outside the Docks Restaurant; participants are asked to park on the north side of the pool and not by the transition area. Participants must be checked in by 7:30 AM and the transition area closes at 7:45 AM.
The triathlon events are sanctioned by USA Triathlon and USAT rules apply; triathlon participants must obtain a one-day license or annual membership as required. Awards are presented for overall and age group placings, plus Clydesdale and Athena categories.
