Game On Saint Augustine Triathlon
The Game On Saint Augustine Triathlon takes place at Vilano Beach Oceanfront Park in Florida. This multisport event features several race formats including triathlons, duathlons, and an aquabike. Participants navigate a course located on the historic coast, starting from a popular local beach known for its natural surroundings and proximity to the coastal A1A road.
The swimming portion of the event is held in the Atlantic Ocean. Following the swim, the bicycle course leads participants north on A1A, passing through the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve. The final running segment passes through residential neighborhoods and along the Vilano Beach Nature Boardwalk, which provides views of local wetlands and wildlife mosaic art.
Available distances and categories include:
- Olympic Triathlon: 0.9 mile swim, 24.8 mile bike, and 6.2 mile run.
- Olympic Duathlon: 1 mile run, 24.8 mile bike, and 6.2 mile run.
- Olympic Aquabike: 0.9 mile swim and 24.8 mile bike.
- Sprint Triathlon: 0.25 mile swim, 11 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run.
- Sprint Duathlon: 1 mile run, 11 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run.
Relay options are also available for both the Olympic and Sprint triathlon distances. The event venue at Vilano Beach is part of a designated All-American Road area that supports various wildlife species, including the gopher tortoise and diverse bird populations.
