Fox Island Triathlon #2 - Fort Wayne, IN
The event takes place on August 15, 2026 at Fox Island County Park, 7324 Yohne Rd, Fort Wayne, IN. It is limited to 500 total racers and open to athletes aged 12 (by 12-31-26) and older. Race formats offered include a sprint triathlon, sprint duathlon, sprint aquabike, and 2- and 3-person relays. The event is USAT sanctioned and professionally chip timed. Packet pickup and registration are available on race day only at the park.
Course and distances
- 500 yard swim in Bowman Lake (beach start; buoys mark turns).
- 12 mile bike on mostly flat county roads with light rollers on the far end.
- 3.1 mile run on paved park trails and paved county roads.
Swim starts use a time-trial style individual start with an optional mass start beforehand. Wetsuit rules follow USAT limits: wetsuits allowed at or below 78 degrees (eligible for awards), allowed but ineligible for awards between 78.1 and 83.9 degrees, and prohibited at 84 degrees and above.
Logistics and rules
Transition will be near Bowman Lake; a maximum of eight bicycles per rack is enforced and only participants and volunteers may enter. All athletes must be body marked and wear a wristband on race morning. Aid stations are located near transition and at multiple points on the run course, offering water, coke, and sports drink; no water is provided on the bike course. Results include overall times and segment splits and are posted live. Standard USAT equipment and conduct rules apply, including helmet requirements and a ban on personal audio devices.
