Event details
The Folsom Lake International Triathlon takes place at Granite Beach, 8000 Douglas Blvd., Granite Bay, CA. The event is in its 19th year and will be limited to 300 athletes. It is organized by Total Body Fitness and is sanctioned by USA Triathlon; participants must have an annual or one-day USAT license.
Race formats and distances
Available formats include an Olympic-distance triathlon and an Aquabike. Distances listed are:
- 1.5K swim - 40K bike - 10K run
- 1.5K swim - 40K bike (Aquabike)
Each competitor receives a pair of custom TBF socks, a swim cap, post-race refreshments, and a Folsom Lake Triathlon Finishers Hat. Commemorative race t-shirts are available for $20 when ordered before May 3.
Logistics and policies
Packet pick-up is held race morning at the race venue. The event is held rain or shine. Awards include Overall Champion awards for first place male and female, awards three deep in each five-year age group, relay team awards for top teams in male, female, and coed divisions, and Aquabike awards for the top three male and female overall finishers. Entry prices listed include USAT Olympic Distance ($165), Relay Team ($180), and Aquabike ($130).
TBF Racing has a no-refund policy; refunds requested prior to race week are issued as race credit minus a $25 processing fee. Transfers between TBF events are allowed with a $25 fee and must occur outside race week. A volunteer program offers a $50 TBF Racing voucher per 4-hour shift.
