24 Hours of Elk Basin
24 Hours of Elk Basin is a multi-discipline outdoor event taking place June 13 to June 14, 2026 at Elk Basin Recreation Area in Belfry, Montana. The event includes solo and team formats across biking and running, plus a separate General Fun option and a new 8 hour solo option introduced for 2026. Team sizes offered include two person, four person, and carnival teams of five to eight participants.
The event uses looped courses for each discipline:
- about 9 miles loop for bikes
- about 6 miles loop for runners
Event entries include a camping spot when racing, a catered dinner and breakfast, and a custom 24 Hours of Elk Basin gift. Camping passes are available separately from bike or run entries for people who wish to camp without racing. Live music is scheduled as part of the on-site activities.
The format allows individuals or teams to complete repeated loops within the selected time frame. The site and schedule support an overnight outdoor experience combining biking, running, camping, meals, and entertainment at the Elk Basin Recreation Area.
