Edinburg Dirty Duathlon

The Edinburg Dirty Duathlon returns for its fifth annual edition at Doolittle Nature Park in Edinburg, Texas. This multisport event takes place on a course characterized by sharp turns, narrow sections, and varied terrain. Participants utilize the natural trails of the park for both the running and cycling portions of the race.

The total distance of the event is 6 miles, structured in three distinct segments. Competitors can choose to participate as an individual or as part of a two-person relay team. For relay teams, one member handles the initial and final runs, while the second member completes the cycling portion.

Available categories include:

  • Individual Duathlon: 1.5 mile run, 3 mile bike, 1.5 mile run
  • Relay Duathlon: 1.5 mile run, 3 mile bike, 1.5 mile run

All participants are required to wear helmets during the cycling segment of the event without exception. The competition is chip-timed, and registered athletes receive a custom shirt and a finisher medal upon completion. Packet pickup is organized at the local Parks and Recreation office on the day prior to the race or at the event location on the morning of the competition.
