Event overview
The Diamond Mountain Triathlon takes place on September 20, 2026 in Stony Point, New York at Lake Welch Beach, 800 Kanawauke Rd. The event includes a triathlon, a duathlon, and a junior duathlon. Course and logistics
Distances:
- 0.5 mi swim / 15 mi bike / 2 mi run (Triathlon)
- 2 mi run / 15 mi bike / 2 mi run (Duathlon and Junior Duathlon)
The swim takes place in Lake Welch. The bike course is one 15-mile lap around Harriman Park. Transition is at the Lake Welch picnic area. Wetsuits are allowed for the swim. Any type of bike may be used, but no rental bikes will be provided. Race numbers have placement rules for jersey, bike, and helmet; markers are available at the registration desk. Free public parking is available. Water, stationary restrooms, and trash bags are provided at check-in. Draft and online results include transition breakdowns and are normally published within 48 hours. Top finishers receive medals and merchandise; overall triathlon winners receive a special triathlon suit. Photos are published after the event.
