Event Details
The Delta Lake Triathlon takes place at the 720-acre Delta Lake State Park in Rome, New York. It is produced by Wilson Endurance Sports in cooperation with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
The event offers several race formats:
- Sprint Triathlon (750m swim, 11-mile bike, 5k run)
- Olympic Triathlon (1500m swim, 22-mile bike, 10k run)
- AquaBike versions for both Sprint and Olympic distances
- Delta Double (completing both the Sprint and Olympic triathlons consecutively)
- Relay teams of 2 or 3 for the Sprint and Olympic triathlon events
Paratriathletes are welcome at the event. There are no official cut-off times for any of the races.
Course Description
The Sprint course begins with a 750-meter swim, followed by a moderately hilly 11-mile bike ride outside the park. The 5k run takes place entirely within the grounds of the state park and finishes next to the lake. Olympic participants complete two loops of each discipline for a total of 1500 meters of swimming, 22 miles of biking, and a 10k run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
