Event Overview
The Dare to Tri - Fort Gordon Sprint Triathlon is a multi-sport event held entirely on the grounds of Fort Gordon, Georgia. The course consists of three consecutive segments held within the base property, which typically features low vehicle traffic. Participants complete the following distances:
- 300 meter pool swim
- 10 mile bike ride
- 5 km run
Participation Details
The event offers several categories for entry, including individual registrations for the general public, active duty military members, and collegiate students. Relay options are also available for both general participants and active duty military teams.
Specific age requirements apply to different categories. General individual and relay events are open to participants aged 10 and older. Collegiate events are restricted to those between 17 and 26 years of age, while active duty categories are open to those 18 and older. Individuals registered under military or student categories are required to present a valid ID during packet pick-up.
Base Access Requirements
Because the event takes place on a military installation, specific access rules apply. All participants who do not hold a Department of Defense (DoD) pass must register for a visitor pass at least 24 hours before the event. This must be completed through the official base visitor pre-registration system to ensure access on the day of the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
