Cowboy Tough Adventure Race
The Cowboy Tough Adventure Race, held at Curt Gowdy State Park near Cheyenne, Wyoming, is a multi-discipline event featuring running, mountain biking, paddling, and navigation. It offers three race formats: a challenging 36-hour mini-expedition through diverse western wilderness landscapes including alpine mountains, remote rivers, and desert single-track trails; a 12-hour race testing endurance with mountain biking, trekking, and two paddle sections; and a beginner to intermediate 6-hour race covering about 20 miles with paddling, trekking, and biking. The course sits at elevations over 6,000 feet, reaching above 8,000 feet in parts, providing stunning views of the Laramie Mountains.
