About the race
Cortland Adventure is an adventure race held in Cortland, Nebraska at Midway Welding, 455 Highway 77. The format blends biking, running, and hiking as racers use maps, clues, and punch cards to locate checkpoints within a four-hour window. Participants may compete solo or in teams of two or three, with a very family-friendly atmosphere noted.
At check-in, racers receive materials and begin a quest emphasizing exploration and problem-solving. Riders must wear a helmet and carry a small pack with essentials (tire repair kit, spare tube, light, water, snacks). Registration includes a long-sleeve shirt, food, drinks, and medals.
