Event overview
The Cereal City Triathlon & Duathlon takes place on Saturday July 18, 2026 at Willard Beach Park, 50 George B Place, Battle Creek, MI. The event offers multiple race formats including a sprint triathlon, a sprint duathlon, 2-person and 3-person triathlon relays (per person pricing), and virtual versions of the triathlon, duathlon, and super sprint. The listed entry price for each event is $50 and registration opens November 28, 2025. Each registration includes a t-shirt, finisher's medal, and a post-race meal from the food truck. Awards will be mailed to participants; there is no awards ceremony.

Distances for the main events are:
- Sprint triathlon: 500 m swim, 12.4 miles (20K) bike, 3.1 miles (5K) run
- Duathlon: 2 mile run, 20K bike, 5K run
- Super Sprint: 400 m swim, 10K bike, 3K run (open to ages 10-18)
The swim start for the triathlon begins in the water at the western sea wall of Willard Beach on Goguac Lake, with swimmers turning buoys to their right and finishing on the beach to run up to transition on a closed driveway. The bike course follows local streets from Willard Beach, using bike lanes and road shoulders where available; organizers will not request full road closures and officers and volunteers will direct traffic. The run course proceeds from the park along George B Place and Capital Ave, continues on Golden Ave to the Riverside Park trail with a designated turnaround and water station, then backtracks to the finish.
