Cactus Man is a multisport event organized by 4 Peaks Racing at Tempe Arts Park, 700 W Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ. The event includes triathlon, duathlon and aquabike formats and offers both Sprint and International distances as well as relay entries. - Triathlon International - 1500 m swim, 20 mile bike, 6.2 mile run
- Duathlon Sprint - 3.1 mile run, 10 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Duathlon International - 3.1 mile run, 20 mile bike, 6.2 mile run
- Aquabike Sprint - 750 m swim, 10 mile bike
- Aquabike International - 1500 m swim, 20 mile bike
Racer amenities include a long sleeve hoodie, finisher medal, post-race refreshments and awards for top finishers in multiple categories. The event is chip timed; chips are worn on the left ankle and must be returned. Wetsuit rules follow USA Triathlon guidelines: wetsuits are allowed at or below the stated water temperature threshold, with specific restrictions for age group awards at higher temperatures. If Tempe Town Lake is not usable, the event will proceed as a duathlon.
Paid parking is available at the nearby garage, 850 W Rio Salado Pkwy. Payment is by card only; listed rates include $3 for up to 1 hour, $6 for 2 hours, $9 for 3 hours, $12 for 4 hours and $15 for 5 hours. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
