Course and race rules
The swim takes place in Big Lake with colored buoys marking turns (green for sprint, orange for Olympic, smaller yellow sight-line buoys). Wetsuits and personal swim caps are allowed and participants must wear a swim cap. The bike course is open to vehicle traffic; riders must follow traffic laws, stay to the far right, avoid riding two abreast, and drafting is prohibited. Sprint bikers ride one lap, Olympic bikers two laps. Relay teams exchange timing chips at the bike rack in the Transition Area; relay teams receive a single bib for the finishing athlete to wear.
Logistics and services
Packets include bibs, timing chips, and event shirts. Only participants with wristbands may enter the Transition Area. There is free on-site parking and park restrooms plus porta-potties. Water stations are provided on the run course; a water fill station is available in the transition area. Medical staff and lifeguards will be on site.
