Event overview
The Art City Tri is scheduled for September 5, 2026, at Wayne Bartholomew Family Park in Springville, Utah. The event program includes an individual Sprint Triathlon, a TEAM Sprint Triathlon (teams of 2-3), and a separate 5K Walk/Run. The race uses chip timing placed on the ankle and offers printed results and a post-finish text with finish times. Packet pickup details are listed as to-be-determined with limited last-minute pickup at the venue on race day.
Distances and course
- Sprint Triathlon: ~450 yard swim, 20 km bike (12.4 miles), 5K run
- TEAM Sprint Triathlon: team of 2-3 people, each completing one or two legs
- 5K Walk/Run ONLY: 5K
The swim starts from the beach and follows a counter-clockwise triangular route around three buoys in the park reservoir. Wetsuits are encouraged and lifejackets are permitted; lifeguards on kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes will be on the water. The bike course exits the park and follows an out-and-back route up the left fork of Hobble Creek Canyon; no aid stations are on the bike course, though water for bottles is available in transition. The run follows a rectangular route through river bottoms and nearby neighborhoods with aid stations approximately every mile. Helmets are required for the bike leg.
